Coping with Difficult People
by Robert M. Bramson, Ph.D.

Recommended for:
- understanding different types of difficult people
- learning how to cope with difficult people

This is good, practical advice that works. And it’s easy to remember because of the images he links with the different types of difficult people. There are Sherman Tanks, Snipers and Exploders — much easier to remember than “hostile aggressives”. There are Bulldozers and Balloons — two different types of Know-It-All Experts. There’s the Clam — the silent, unresponsive person. And there are Complainers, Super-Agreeables, Negativists, and Indecisive Stallers.

Because he is a psychologist, Dr. Bramson gives his insights into the behaviour of each type — why the difficult person became difficult. He also gives effective ways to cope with each type of difficult person.

About the author:
Robert M. Bramson’s work as an industrial psychologist gave him many insights that he set out in his books which include Coping with Difficult People, Coping with Difficult Bosses; First Hired, Last Fired; What Your Boss Doesn’t Tell You Until It’s Too Late; The Art of Thinking; and Styles of Thinking.
